Anke Di, MD, PhD

RESEARCH ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF PHARMACOLOGY

Research Interests

The general interest of my research is to study the role of ion channels in lung inflammation and injury. Specific projects:

1. Study the role of potassium channel in regulating inflammasome activation and lung inflammation.

2. Study the role of trp channel (TRPM2) in regulating phagocytic cell function and lung inflammation.

3. Study the role of chloride channel (CFTR) in regulating the function of phagocytic cells (macrophages and dendritic cells) and lung inflammation.

4. Study the role of sphingosine kinase 1 (SPK1) in calcium signaling and lung inflammation.

5. Study the role of the mechanosensitive ion channel (Piezo1) in regulating endothelial barrier function and lung edema formation.
